I have been very interested recently in what small businesses can do to survive this recession. It would appear to be affecting almost everybody. Talking to other small Irish food & drink producers we are also wondering what we can do to deliver good quality Irish food to Irish consumers at affordable prices. At Wild Orchard we have always endeavoured to provide top quality smoothies and juices at competitive prices and I know that many of our colleagues are the same. It appears, though, that somehow there is a disconnect between consumers and producers.

We haven't really blogged properly for a while so here goes>
Deirdre is on holiday for the next couple of weeks. She'll be taking in a few music festivals and and taking things easy. Fanny joined us last week. She's from France and is here on an internship for 3 months. I think she'll get on fine here. Natalia is getting closer to her maternity leave so we're all waiting for some news there. The bag is packed and it could be any day now!! We're expecting Aurore back for a holiday in the next couple of weeks.

COUNTY Limerick company, Wild Orchard Smoothies and Juices, has announced that it will be supplying the Munster Rugby squad with its award-winning products from now on.

The local producer of premium quality natural smoothies and fresh juices will supply Munster for its nutritional program.

Word of mouth is proving the best advertising for nutritional smoothie-maker Wild Orchard.

The Limerick company has just signed a contract to supply up to 300 smoothies a week to the Munster Rugby Squad. According to Wild Orchard co-founder Diarmuid Crowley, the high-profile contract had more to do with chance than hard-nosed sales.

Wild Orchard Smoothies have won Great Taste Gold in London for the second year running. This is a great endorsement of the quality of our smoothies and while we have always known that they taste great, it's nice to get an independent endorsement. We won't be resting on our laurels (whatever laurels are) though. We are still out there looking for the best fruits and tastiest combinations!!
